Accessibility
Caymore wants everyone to be able to use caymoremanagement.com and the Caymore members portal, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, including the menu, the destination filters, the photo sliders and the sign-in and portal forms.
- Headings, landmarks and labels are in place so that screen readers can navigate each page, and a “skip to content” link is the first thing on every page.
- Text meets the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, including small captions and text over photographs.
- The opening film is muted, has no narration, and stops when your device asks for reduced motion. A pause control is available from the keyboard.
- Pages work at 200% zoom and on screens 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
- Forms say what is wrong in words, next to the field, and never rely on colour alone.
The public website scored 100 for accessibility in an automated Lighthouse audit on 3 November 2026, and the sign-in and portal pages were checked the same way. Automated checks find only part of what matters, so we also test by hand with a keyboard and with VoiceOver.
What we are still working on
- The hero film’s pause control is visible only when it has keyboard focus, to keep the opening image clean. We are considering a visible control.
- Some photographs carry short descriptions rather than full ones. We are reviewing them.
- PDF documents produced by the portal (signed authorizations, itineraries) are tagged for reading order but have not yet been tested with every screen reader.
