Paris, Around the Shows
Invitations, ateliers and the week that surrounds the Paris collections.
Paris Fashion Week is among the most closely held weeks of the year. Invitations are limited, seating is decided weeks in advance, and the city’s finest hotels and restaurants are fully committed.
We begin with the houses themselves. Through long-standing relationships, we request invitations to the shows our clients wish to attend. Where a seat is not available, we arrange a private appointment in the showroom the following morning, when the collection can be seen at leisure.
The rest of the week is planned with equal care: a suite on the Left Bank away from the busiest venues, a driver who knows the entrances, fittings at the atelier and dinners at restaurants that close their books during the shows.
Much of the work is never seen. The timing between venues, a quieter entrance and a coat collected before the crowd leaves all contribute to a week that runs as it should.
The spring collections are shown from late February into March, and the autumn collections from late September. Clients typically arrive privately into Le Bourget, and we begin arrangements for both several months ahead.
